Cake Batter Puppy Chow

Uhh, yeah.

I love anything cake-flavored. So when I found this, I just had to make it.

It's delightful.

With sprinkles!

You know you want to make some.
I used this recipe.

Enjoy!

Best Time of the Year!

Ohh, it really is the best time of the year. I love the holidays. LOVE them!

Fall time goodies around my house.

Small pumpkins!
Sweet towel.
Owls!
Oh, and my sweet new spice rack inspired by the great Brittany.

I also made some cranberry brandy for Thanksgiving! It is phenomenal.

Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday - family, great food, love in the air. Especially this year...

My darling-dear Bear proposed!!! (I said yes!)

I love this man and am thankful for a life with him by my side.

Tonight we decorated the house for Christmas!

Tree! (We still need to get a topper! Whoops.)

Decorations!

Stockings hung with care.
Favorite ornament!
Sweet vintage mousie.
(Wink!)
Our tree is just a widdle guy!
Smelling good!
Vintage handmade...thing! I love it.
Hazel Atlas egg nog mugs.
Christmas tunes on vinyl...must-have!
And of course...holiday Pyrex!

Hope everyone else is enjoying this time of year - it truly is the sweetest!

Thrifting Spree & Cupcakes

Hello all!

I had a morning off from work this week, so of course I went thrifting. :)

I found this lovely Lace Medallion promo and this Royal Wheat divided dish. $8 for both. I like their colors together!

I also bought these 2 little Terra bowls for $.50/each.

I got this shiny turquoise #404 for $5, but it's so much more my momma than I - so I gifted it to her. Her kitchen is decked out in everything turquoise.

She collects vintage Ball & Mason jars but I'm trying to convert her to Pyrex...

In the baking world...I've made so many cupcakes this week.

Rainbow velvet for a friend's son! (These were SO FUN to make!)

My bosses' daughter turned 7, and I made her chocolate/peanut butter cuppys with white chocolate piped butterflies.

I hope y'all are enjoying these beautiful fall evenings!

Red & Green!

I'm getting ready for Christmas extra early this year.

Not necessarily on purpose, but I'm not complaining. ;)

I probably paid too much for this guy, but I want a holiday piece so bad! It's a little scuffed and scratched (sorry for the horrible picture) but stilllllll...it'll be great for the holidays!

"Golden Leaf" promo

I just liked these two. I don't have any spring blossom 2, and I love any fridgie (especially for $.99!)

Weddings & Pyrex

I had the pleasure of doing the photography this weekend for my wonderful friends wedding. It was in Boulder, CO - so I got to take a sweet roadtrip, too!

The bride, my darling friend Kila, knows of my obsession with Pyrex - so as a thank you, she gave me these gorgeous pink gooseberry cinderella bowls!

I also had a free day on Saturday and hung out with another darling friend, Linnea. We had a wonderful day exploring Ikea, eating delicious food, and speaking with British accents. She took me to a wonderful little flea market where I found this beauty!

I've wanted a hostess dish for a looooong time now...glad to finally get one!

I also found these three pieces a week or so ago (all at different thrift stores!) Only one more small fridgie to complete the set! ;)

Back to the wedding stuff! I met Kila when I moved to Boulder last summer. I was living on an aerobed on my brother's floor and got a job as a preschool teacher, where I was placed in a room co-teaching with Kila. We became great friends, and when my brother moved away and my aerobed had no floor to set on, they allowed me to move in their guest room. They gave me a home when I had none, and a family when I needed it the most. Kila & Aaron's wedding was breathtakingly beautiful, and I was honored to be a part of it. Congratulations, friends!

Oh, and their cake was the best cake I've ever had...ever. It was pumpkin, and tasted like a little bit of heaven.

A Birthday & Hazelnut Latte Cupcakes

My dear brother had a birthday last weekend.

Of course there was a party!

One of the birthday boys favorite hot coffee drinks is a hazelnut latte - so I decided on a chocolate espresso cake with hazelnut buttercream frosting.

The result? A little piece of heaven.

A shot of the snack table mid-party (please note all the Pyrex):

Here's to you, Adam! The happiest of birthdays, brudder. You are loved.
